He is currently Board advisor to EeMag/Sameday (RO,HU) and Trendyol (TR) Non-Executive Chairman at Future Aerial, a UK Drone Services Network.

Dean is currently the Managing Partner, North America, for Last Mile Experts, where he is responsible for managing consulting initiatives in North America.  Previously, he was the Director of Consulting Services at Logistics Trends and Insights, where he was responsible for sales and marketing of the consulting segment of the business. Dean has also served 4Front Consulting Group where he managed general transportation consulting and the design/implementation of cold chain and health care distribution solutions. Additionally, he served UPS and FedEx for over 37 years across multiple professional positions in sales, marketing, and operations.  His vast experience allows him to possess a unique and in-depth view into nearly all aspects of the parcel transportation industry, to include the role of parcel transportation solutions and the carriers in e-commerce.

Dean has experienced much success consulting in the categories of Amazon’s transportation capabilities and the design/implementation of last-mile distribution solutions, including 2-day, next-day and same-day delivery.  He has direct experience designing both domestic and cross-border distribution solutions for the e-commerce shipper community. Dean is also expert in understanding the capabilities and pricing practices of UPS, FedEx, DHL and supports carrier contract negotiations for medium sized to large organizations. He can also opine on the pending USPS reorganization and how changes at the USPS will impact the carriers and e-commerce merchants.   Mr. Maciuba possesses a keen understanding of the 3PL services group and their role in providing fulfillment solutions in support of e-commerce.

Dean is active on global consulting platforms and recognized as a subject matter expert on the impact of e-commerce growth on the parcel transportation industry to include FedEx, UPS, the USPS, and Amazon Logistics.  Dean consults on the impact of new technology specific to the transportation service providers, such as autonomous/robotic delivery solutions, the role of PUDO/Access Points in e-commerce delivery and how regulatory initiatives may impact e-commerce and Amazon. Finally, he has been popular with the investment community as his opinions are sought regarding the perceived versus actual capabilities/future performance of the parcel transportation companies and large e-commerce merchants that are in the news.

Previously, from 1980 to July 2015, Dean served FedEx, a fortune 500 global transportation Services Company, across multiple professional positions.  He worked in various sales and marketing positions where he was involved in developing customer relationships in both a Direct Sales model and Network Development/Partnership model. His additional contributions included the development of the FedEx Worldwide Service Center program, the FedEx Convenience Network/Drop Box program and the FedEx Authorized Ship Center program in sales, marketing, and expansion positions. While on special assignment with FedEx, he worked on the development of the FedEx Convenience Network in Southern Ontario and later in his career, supported the advancement of the partnership between FedEx and United States Postal Service.  Before joining FedEx, Mr. Maciuba also served at UPS, where he was a member of the team that inaugurated International Ground Service to and from Canada.
